On the second consecutive day, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday (August 14, 2025) claimed that Vaishali MP Veena Devi’s husband and Janata Dal-(United) MLC Dinesh Singh also has two voter I-cards.
In a post on ‘X’ Mr. Yadav said that Mr. Singh has two EPIC numbers in Muzaffarpur district, and he is the voter of two Assembly constituencies — Sahebganj and Muzaffarpur — like her wife.
Mr. Yadav, late on Wednesday night (August 13, 2025), issued a press note stating that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Vaishali MP Veena Devi has two EPIC numbers. Mr. Yadav claimed that she is a voter of two Assembly constituencies in Muzaffarpur district, Sahebganj and Muzaffarpur Assembly constituencies.
The former Deputy Chief Minister also stated that she has two different age in both Assembly seats. He further asserted that she has fillled two enumeration forms in the on going Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Mr. Yadav pointed out that she must given her signature at two places. He asked how did she get two EPIC numbers of two different Assembly constituencies. He alleged that this is an attempt by the ECI to ensure victory of NDA in the upcoming assembly election. He asked ECI whether ECI will send notice to her from two places.
EC issues notice to Vaishali MP, her husband
Following the claim, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday (August 14, 2025) issued notice to Vaishali MP Veena Devi and her husband Dinesh Singh and sought their reply in the dual EPIC number episode.
The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of Muzaffarpur Assembly constituency has issued notice to them.
