Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally along with other top leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday (October 24, 2025), kickstarting the campaign for the Assembly polls, will further boost the already positive atmosphere ensuring a one-sided victory in Bihar, said State Minister and four-time MLA Nitin Nabin on Thursday (October 23, 2025).

Speaking to The Hindu on the phone, the BJP leader said the NDA’s prompt decision on seat-sharing had played a key role in energising the campaign. He is contesting the Assembly elections for the fifth time from the Bankipur constituency.
He accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav of making empty promises. “He earlier promised to give one government job to every family in Bihar. A simple calculation shows it is completely impractical. Realising the mistake, he then made another promise, of providing ₹30,000-jobs in a bid to woo voters,” the Minister said.
Earlier, in a written response, Mr. Nabin said the people of Bihar had consistently supported the NDA as they had seen visible change on the ground. “From better roads and bridges to improved connectivity, from education reforms to social welfare schemes, the focus has always been on inclusive development. We have delivered stability, development, and a clear vision for Bihar’s future. Our government believes in performance, not promises. The trust that people have reposed in the NDA is the result of consistent governance, transparent leadership, and a strong focus on youth and infrastructure. That confidence will once again translate into victory,” he said.
Deeper engagement
On his approach to the elections this time, Mr. Nabin said: “Over the years, I have learned to listen more closely to the people’s voices — their expectations have evolved, and so has my approach. This time, our focus is on deeper engagement at the grassroots level and on leveraging technology to ensure last-mile delivery of benefits. My experience helps me connect better, but it is the young energy and aspirations of Bihar that inspire me to keep evolving.”

Stating that women were at the heart of Bihar’s transformation story, he said from Jeevika groups to Kanya Utthan Yojana and reservation in local bodies, the NDA government’s initiatives had empowered women socially and economically. “Today, women are not just beneficiaries — they are active participants in governance and change…I am confident that their support will once again play a decisive role in ensuring NDA’s victory,” said Mr. Nabin.
