Delhi Assembly election 2025: Delhi Chief Electoral Office shares details of independent observers of New Delhi AC

Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi in a post on social media account “X” on Monday (February 3, 2025) stated that Election Commission of India has deployed three types of independent observers namely Independent General Observer, Independent Police Observer and Independent Expenditure Observer in all the 70 Assembly Constituencies of Delhi.

This reply from Chief Electoral Officer comes after AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal alleged an attack on his party workers ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls and demanded that the Election Commission appoint independent observers in his New Delhi constituency.

In a letter, the former Delhi Chief Minister had cited some alleged incidents of attack on AAP workers in his New Delhi constituency.

AAP MLA Mohinder Goyal was allegedly assaulted during a public rally in Rohini area on Saturday (February 1, 2025).

The incident took place when Mr. Goyal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from the Rithala Assembly segment, was interacting with the local residents of Pocket H in Sector 11.
